	Of course they are, hard discs are complex mechanical systems
operating at ludicrous precision. The astonishing thing is that they're as
robust as they are. The first PC hard disc I ever saw (and helped install
in a Torch prototype) was a 5Mb drive in full height 5 1/4" format - it
came in a large wooden box and was suspended in the middle by a set of
springs to the corners. The mounting instructions were long and full of
dire warnings.

	Modern hard discs can be thrown and caught (dropping is
inadvisable) which I find impressive. SSDs are ... well solid and won't be
bothered by being dropped a few feet.
