	Quite so very few people have a good overview of the options and
sometimes the best choice is simply overlooked. Edward de Bono ran some
interesting experiments that showed this up, one observation was that
people have a strong tendency to try and use all the resources that might
help when a better, but less obvious, solution is available using only some
of them.

	More so in the data centre than on the desktop, but even there I'd
far rather write a document in troff or LaTeX than do battle with Word.
Back in the mid 1980s I set a thousand page reference book using a database
query feeding troff on an 80286 Xenix machine. Try doing that with MS Office
on a modern desktop that has more than a thousand times as much memory and
processing power as that Xenix machine had.
