The only slight objection regarding terminator would be
that it adds several Gnome-related and Gtk dependencies.
If you buikld it from source, even more stuff will be
compiled and installed (as build dependencies). So maybe
using "pkg install terminator" will be a _little_ more
convenient? ;-)
Managing several terminal sessions in one terminal window,
even if it's just ye olde xterm, can be accomplished with
lightweight tools such as screen and tmux.
