daily|security run outputs

I have a FreeBSD 8.4 box (yes, I know what you are about to say, but trust
me, I am doing it before Christmas!) that suddenly stopped sending the
daily|security run outputs.
Is there an easy way to find out why?

PS: I am planning on hardware change before I migrate it to FreeBSD 12. :-)
