how to set hostname on a cable line?

Hi Anton,

I suppose you have already tried something like this, but I just wanted 
to be sure: can you not 1) put fqdn in rc.conf; and then 2) put the IP 
for the machine's fqdn in /etc/hosts on the box that needs to ssh ?
