I would second that. Make sure it LSI HBA, not LSI MegaRAID. (one can
re-flash megaraid with HBA BIOS and vise versa, but that is a hassle).
Also, RocketRaid doesn't sound like HBA, more like RAID, and although you
can "export" a single hard drive in RAID BIOS, you can not expect other
kind of devices except hard drives to be fully "exported" and appear on
the bus as they would in case when they are attached to HBA.
