Kernel compile error

Thank you very much both for your answers. This is a huge, huge help! I actually thought I have broken the source tree or my compiler somehow.

Apologies for the initial email, I just saw how it looked like, it's inexcusable, I'll be verifying my emails(of that kind) in future.
