openfire on FBSD 10

Using the internal database and the simplest possible pass through the 
setup screens,  I finally got it to run and get the admin login 
screen, but it refuses to let me login.

Seems like it's a very common occurrence with openfire, from the all 
the hits I got in google.

any ideas here?

And this is even before I tackle the magic LDAP connection settings 
into Exchange.
