I've raised this problem with postmaster at freebsd.org, and they are
enthusiastic about tracking down how the freebsd-questions at ... traffic
is being harvested and stopping this whole thing.  Unfortunately the
perpetrators of this seem to have been covering their tracks fairly
effectively so far.

If anyone does receive a spam message back from a posting to the list,
I'd urge you to forward it -- including all of the message headers -- to
postmaster at freebsd.org with a small note explaining the circumstances.
Postmaster needs some substantive data in order to have any chance of
stopping this.
