how to change from STABLE to RELEASE?

Thank you for the suggestion.  I am now back in the saddle and running
9.1-RELEASE on this machine. Thanks for all the help provided.

$ uname -r
9.1-RELEASE
$ uname -a
FreeBSD e213-amd64-1.grullahighschool.org 9.1-RELEASE FreeBSD
9.1-RELEASE #0 r243825: Tue Dec  4 09:23:10 UTC 2012
