all mail arriving empty - spamassassin?

There is a problem where spamassassin is dying with SIGPIPE, but
returning a non-zero error code.

If you are using /usr/local/bin/spamassassin (i.e. not spamd), try
editing it and changing "sub kill_handler" to exit with a non-zero
value.
