That's a number indicating a version of FreeBSD, see
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/porters-handbook/book.html#AEN5722
Basically, it does not work on 6.1-RELEASE, so you should consider
updating to 6.2-RELEASE.
