Fail to start KDE and Gnome

Done as per your advice.

$ cat ~/.xsession
exec /usr/local/bin/startkde
exec /usr/local/bin/gnome-session

$ ls -al ~/.xsession
-rwxr-xr-x  1 satimis  wheel  62 Feb 27 07:59 /home/satimis/.xsession

$ startkde
....
ksplash: cannot connect to X server
kdeinit: Aborting, $DISPLAY is not set
Warning: Connect() failed: No such file or directory
ksmserver: Cannot connect to Xserver !
startkde: shutting down ...
Warning: Connect() failed: No such file or directory
Error: Can't contact kdeinit !
startkde running shutdown script
startkde : Done

Still failed.
