Enable type 28 (SHM) in base NTPD

Hi,

	I'm trying to enable the type 28 clock, SHM, in the FreeBSD
5.X base package. It seems to have only a few clocks available, and
thats not one. I've been google'n for 1/2 an hour with no luck. 
Should I just install from ports?
