Qmail & Vpopmail From Ports

I didn't realize you're the author of O'Reilly's book on Qmail :)
I'll take your opinion a little more seriously.
I noticed that although I have all my processes up:

root at server167:/var/log/qmail (105) ps|grep qmail
  368 con- S      0:00.15 supervise qmail-send
  370 con- S      0:00.16 supervise qmail-smtpd
  804 con- S      0:00.00 qmail-lspawn ./Mailbox
 2068  p0  D+     0:00.00 grep qmail

nothing new seems to have been added into any of the "current" logs! Is there a way to build qmail with ports, configuring it around the problems? If not, the reason I'm doing this is to get ezmlm-idx up. How do you recommend I build?
