hi,
just installed 6-release and want to build a new kernel. After doing a
cvsup this afternoon i get this. My last Freebsd box was 4.11. I've never
seen a kernel build fail. Am i missing something?
[root at snoopy /usr/src]# make buildkernel KERNCONF=GENERIC
--------------------------------------------------------------
>>> Kernel build for GENERIC started on Sun May 7 19:37:24 PDT 2006
--------------------------------------------------------------
===> GENERIC
mkdir -p /usr/obj/usr/src/sys
cd /usr/src/sys/i386/conf;
PATH=/usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/sbin:/usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/bin:/usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/games:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin
config -d /usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC /usr/src/sys/i386/conf/GENERIC
config: /usr/src/sys/i386/conf/GENERIC:72: syntax error

here's me trying the old way:
[root at snoopy /usr/src/sys/i386/conf]#config GENERIC
config: ../compile/GENERIC: No such file or directory
FYI:
[root at snoopy /usr/src/sys/i386/conf]# uname -a
FreeBSD snoopy.schmut.com 6.0-RELEASE FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE #0: Thu Nov 3

any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
