I just tried running apsfilter again. It successfully printed out a test
page. However, when I told it to install the information into the
/etc/printcap file, this error message was displayed:
Aug 2 06:58:51 seibercom checkpc[27640]: lp: Checkwrite: fcntl F_SETFL of
'/dev/null' failed - Inappropriate ioctl for device
** done.
What is that all about?
This is the contents of the /etc/printcap file:
# APS1_BEGIN:printer1
# - don't delete start label for apsfilter printer1
# - no other printer defines between BEGIN and END LABEL
lp|bj8pa06n.upp;r=600x600;q=high;c=full;p=letter;m=auto:\
:lp=/dev/null:\
:if=/usr/local/etc/apsfilter/basedir/bin/apsfilter:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:\
:lf=/var/spool/lpd/lp/log:\
:af=/var/spool/lpd/lp/acct:\
:mx#0:\
:sh:
# APS1_END - don't delete this
