dump(8), incremental backups, Tower of Hanoi sequence, don't get it

Start with something even easier:

Do a full-level-0 once per week, or once per month.
Do level-1 incrementals daily.

Change this to something fancier if you're using too much tape, but  
this is easy to understand....
