exif.10 & libexif-0.6.12_1

I'm trying to install an "unofficial" port of MythTV Gallery.  It looks 
for exif.10 library but doesn't find it even after installing 
libexif-0.6.12_1.  Does the port makefile need to updated or do I need 
to install something else to get exif.10?
