X11 config problem

[Squirrel Havoc]

I was able to boot into FreeBSD (finally!), and went
on to configure X11 by using "xf86config", answered
all the questions, but after that, when I would type
"X" or "startx", it starts up, then exits with an
error like "no screen present". What config step am I
missing?
