There is no such script in ../etc/rc.d. All you have to do is to start
portmap (in rc.conf), and then edit your /etc/inetd.conf and add there:
sgi_fam/1-2 stream rpc/tcp wait root /usr/local/bin/fam fam
and then killall -HUP inetd.
This one should do the trick.
