Yep. See the manpage of gethostname(). This should work fine:
#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <unistd.h>

#define HOST_NAME_MAX 255
static char buf[HOST_NAME_MAX + 1];

int
main(void)
{

if (gethostname(buf, HOST_NAME_MAX) == -1) {
fprintf(stderr,
"error: my hostname is not defined\n");
exit(EXIT_FAILURE);
}
printf("%s\n", buf);
return EXIT_SUCCESS;
}
