Hi, Lance,
You have received some good advice already. One
further note: If you have already booted a FBSD box
*without* having proper gateway information in /etc/rc.conf,
simply type (as root):
#route add default xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP of the desired
gateway.
