USB floppy: "Synchronize cache failed"

FreeBSD 5.3, Imation USB floppy drive (a rebadged Mitsumi).
Works OK, but the probe messages are annoying (and fill my log):

And that was just *one* insertion. On 4.10 it's quiet (and works).
Any way that I can shut it up? I see this has been raised in the past,
but I didn't see any resolutions.
