Changing from POP3 server to IMAP server

Hello all,
I have a freeBSD server. Currently I am using POP3 server with MS outlook as mail client. I would like to change POP3 to IMAP so that i can have a centralized email system. Could anyone suggest me some good documentation for converting POP3 to IMAP. Please let me know if there are any important things i need to keep in mind while making that change.
