Any pointers for Verizon DSL in Silicon Valley

Hello All,

I am considering switching to Verizon DSL in the
Silicon Valley area. Does anyone have any good web
site tutorials or other resources for making the
switch? I've looked in mailing list archives but
didn't find anything specific to this area. How long
would it take a middle-weight freebsd user to get
going with DSL here?
