I tried both scripts, and am very pleased to announce that I am printing
text and PostScript from both the command line, OpenOffice and KDE.
Heck, I'm even printing off a network printer.
I'm using the new hpif script from the handbook. I did a cut and paste
from the web page to Kedit. For some reason the script from Malcolm
does not work for me.
Malcolm and Mike: I owe both of you guys big time for helping me out
with this problem. You both went to a lot of effort to help. It is much
appreciated. Maybe some day I can pay back the favor.
Hmmmm....I wonder if I can print jpg files......
