as briefly discussed earlier on IRC, I (as the blender maintainer) can't
do much here, since blender requires Python 3.2 to build and work
correctly.
Since blender on the same time can be quite a dependency junkie, there
can't be done that much in the blender port, if other packages pull in
another Python version...
