I have both an iMac G5 and a PowerMacG5.

The iMac mostly works fine, though there is no DRI so the GUI is a 
little sluggish.

The PowerMac has the fan issue and only 640x480 res.  If I recall it was 
using the vesa driver and I didn't spend time trying to improve it since 
I run this system headless anyway.
