The "checking archives" step is kind of slow. It counts the number of
files in the archive to make the progress bars in the next screen, so
there did not seem to be a easy way to indicate progress. I need to find
a way to fix this.
Hopefully, there will be automatic kernel fan control before 9.0 on all
G5 systems (it is already in place for G5 iMacs and some towers).
