Hi,
trying to compile 9.0 on a 8.1-powerpc (xserve-G5) according to ...
- ---CUT---
Upgrade instructions: (from
http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-ppc/2010-July/004367.html)
...
The safest way to move from a 32-bit to a 64-bit system is to reinstall
the system from scratch. However, there are not yet install CDs (this
should be fixed soon), and some people may not wish to do this. So, for
the adventurous:
cd /usr/src/sys/boot
make
...
- ---CUT---
This step does not work for me:
- ---CUT---
otto# cd /usr/src/sys/boot
otto# make
"Makefile", line 29: Malformed conditional (${MK_FDT} != "no")
"Makefile", line 31: if-less endif
make: fatal errors encountered -- cannot continue
- ---CUT--
Any idea whats wrong here ?
The rest of the instructions worked as outlined, but i cannot boot the
64bit kernel (it's not found) , but that's a different story..
Thanks and Greetings
