ZFS .. on PowerPC ?

Hi guys
Just wanted to test out "zfs" on my TiBook....
but no luck....
get :

[root at munin ~]# zfs -?
internal error: failed to initialize ZFS library

regardless of whatever parameters I put to  "zfs" ....
any gotchas that I should be aware of ?

BTW: this is stock 7.0 FreeBSD(PowerPC)
