unable to boot from cd with dual g4

Hi.

Downloaded Peter's bootable iso-image and booted my
dual g4 mac @1.25 GHz. It boots but comes to a halt,
the last part of the message is (hand-transcribed):

[thread 0]
stopped at 0x3c7810: isync
db>

The keyboard locks up. Can I provide more info?
