Ok, I did apply both patches, either "USE_CXXSTD=gnu++98" to Makefile, or your patch creating files/patch-storage_connect_tabjson.cpp, only.
Both patches were applied to vanilla databases/mariadb102-server ports, respectively.
And each patch is compiling this port successfully.
