Alexey, I call again for a simple bump to this port, until such time
as the more complex improvements can be made. They are not mutually
exclusive.
>From bsdstats data[1], at least 160 people could immediately benefit
from a quick bump. Of 206 installs, 160 of them are at the latest
ports version (jumbo-5), three are rolling it themselves to get
jumbo-6 or -7, and the rest can't/won't update. For about ten minutes
of work, that's a really good force multiplier.
Please, please update security/john to -jumbo7.
