Hmmm... What does 'pkg info' say?
If it won't admit that a libevent package is installed, then what does
'pkg check -da' produce? For best results, make sure PACKAGESITE is set
to http://pkgbeta.freebsd.org/freebsd-9-i386/latest/ in pkg.conf before
trying that though.
