Problem with the %%PYTHON_CMD%% variable

You need to add PYTHON_CMD to list of expansions for SUB_FILES.
Add something like this to your Makefile:
SUB_LIST= PYTHON_CMD=${PYTHON_CMD}
Also, you don't need to run depend on python, you already get that from
USE_PYTHON line.
