Thanks, Rainer and Robert. I'll install again and be a bit more careful.
Actually, I had to make a lot more links when I re-installed acroread7,
but now that I know nspluginwrapper works, I'll do the same for
acroread8.
Also, I was unable to print from it. Does that work for you?
Traditionally I have gone through /usr/local/lpr, but acroread8 seems
not to find it. I suspect it looks in the linux compat area, where it
does not find it.
