FreeBSD Port: python-2.4.3

Hi

I tried to install python 2.4.3 into FreeBsd 4.7 and it tells me

pkg_add python-2.4.3.tbz
pkg_add: read_plist: bad command '@conflicts python-mode.el-1.*'

Is package system  broken?  how can I know which version is compatible 
with my FreeBSD?
