I started using the naparst version because times went from ~6 hours to 
20+ hours. The bad part is that you may turn in results with 100-130 
credits but you may only get credit for 20. FreeBSD's Seti was always 
25% slower than Seti on the same machine running XP. I figured it was 
the optimization differences between compilers on the systems. The 
naparst version went the other way. It is much faster than Seti on XP. 
With the naparst version, the times are around 2 hours. The problem is 
that when you change from one version to the other, it may drop the 
current set of work units and download a new set. 

With Einstein in the ports, we have an alternative project to fill in 
when BOINC Seti is broken for some reason.
