php4-pear and oracle

Hi

Did anyone succeed to run devel/php4-pear and oracle?
The oracle extension of php requires databases/oracle7-client,
and builds and loads just fine.

devel/php4-pear however does not seem to support the version provided
by databases/oracle7-client.

There seems to be another option: 
  databases/linux-oracle-instantclient-basic
Its description sounds just like what I want, but the
distfile is unfetchable, oracle provides only a slightly newer
version. And then I have no idea if that will work of php4-pear.
