Hi all,
on my -CURRENT box:
uname -a
FreeBSD Reineke.Malepartus.de 5.2-CURRENT FreeBSD 5.2-CURRENT #11: Mon Mar 15 14:50:22 CET 2004 bm at Reineke.Malepartus.de:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/REINEKE amd64
# cd /usr/ports/x11/kde3
# make install
ends up with:
===> Compressing manual pages for openldap-client-2.1.27
===> Running ldconfig
/sbin/ldconfig -m /usr/local/lib
===> Registering installation for openldap-client-2.1.27
===> Returning to build of kdelibs-3.2.1
Error: shared library "ldap.2" does not exist

It seems that the installation of openldap-client-2.1.27 did not install
the shared libraries. My /etc/make.conf has no option enabled.
What is going wrong here?
