zgv 5.8 on FreeBSD 4.10 and "switching consoles"...

Square brackets still seem to cycle among the modes, but function key
switching seems to be broken in the current port.  Also the current
port seems to do an extremely poor job of auto mode guessing compared
with previous versions.
