>From the looks of it the upstream project isn't interested in helping resolve
this leak.  I don't have the needed skills to track down memory leak. The best
way to move forward is to see if someone with the correct experience is willing
to volunteer some time to (1) tracking down the leak, and (2) provide a patch
to fix it.  I can assist in the process of having the patch applied upstream.
