Hi Emil,

As a starting point, do you know the Porter's Handbook [1]? There you will find
many many interesting things about FreeBSD's ports and how to do make ports
even better ;)

If you're still interested in taking over the port after poking around in the
handbook, I'd be happy to put you down as a maintainer :)
