Hello,

when i start cinnamon start normally then i see the desktop but freezes
directly. 

But when i start cinnamon with software renderer then it works.

With the normal gnome desktop this seems to be the same case.

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 570 using drm-kmod from ports with FreeBSD 12.2-STABLE
