I tried building 2.4.2 and it starts normally.

Note that files/patch-cmake-proxies_sbsms_CMakeLists.txt adds ${SSE_FLAG}, but
in 2.4.2 it's already added but commented out because of
https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2488.

I also would like to report that in my case audio/sndio gets autodetected so
I'm getting "Warning: you need LIB_DEPENDS+=libsndio.so:audio/sndio".
