One way to find out about expired ports (i.e., ones formerly in the tree
and now gone) is the MOVED file:

  % grep xiphos $PORTSDIR/MOVED 
  misc/gnomesword|misc/xiphos|2009-02-02|Project renamed
  misc/xiphos||2019-03-24|Has expired: webkit-gtk* last release in 2016 and
security issues

In such a case we usually "resurrect" a port, see
