            Bug ID: 228366
Summary: misc/mc: freeze on copying large files to FAT drive
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: woodsb02 at freebsd.org
          Reporter: mike.d.ft402 at gmail.com
          Assignee: woodsb02 at freebsd.org
             Flags: maintainer-feedback?(woodsb02 at freebsd.org)

MC will freeze when copying a large file to a FAT drive. Can not be killed with
pkill -9. umount will freeze trying to unmount the drive. There seems to be
disk activity in gstat, so it might really be still copying the file.

But MC should normally just show the progress, not freeze till "when it's
done"!

mc 4.8.20_2
11.1-RELEASE-p9
mount options for the FAT drive: msdosfs, local, noatime, noexec, nosuid
