I just did now, but no lock, kldload fails to load the module with 

KLD pefs.ko: depends on kernel - not available or version mismatch
linker_load_file: /boot/modules/pefs.ko - unsupported file type

I'm on FreeBSD 12.0-CURRENT #15 r336200M
